Stupid. Utterly stupid. He came close to me and did that. Ya. Yawned. Actually, he yawwnned… Do you remember the circus where the lion opens its mouth and the little girl thrusts her head inside? I felt like that. Did not someone teach him manners? Some just do not have etiquette in their genes.
Now on the subject, we know yawning is contagious. You see someone yawn, you repeat it like a parrot. Experts say it is not because you are bored or sleepy that you yawn, it happens when the oxygen levels in the lungs are low. Males yawn longer than females. We know that animals also yawn.
In fact, reading this post may make you yawn.
Hey, I just read that if you touch your tongue while yawning, it can stop the yawn.
Why am I angry? That guy yawned and I did so too, when that chubby girl passed by. She gave me such a dirty look, I will forget yawning the rest of my life.
Ha ha..Funny! True.sometimes people do not have the manners. They just yawn, without even closing their mouth with their hand!
ReplyDeleteDid you yearn or yawn when she passed by? Hope you did not attempt to stop yawning by touching the tongue!

ReplyDeleteHahahaha!!! Very funny post.
ReplyDeleteYawning is an act of pandiculation. All healthy vertebrate animals do this to remain agile, in balance and take out any stiffness they sense.
ReplyDeleteAnimals have the know how which we all did as babies in our mothers womb. What's cool is that when you watch an animals do any type of pandiculation, it appears as a stretch. Go ahead, actively yawn and feel your muscles contracting instead. When you release the contraction, your brain will reward you with chemicals of relaxation.
Maybe the dog was telling you to just relax. :).
Healthy animals know how to pandiculate their way to health. I wonder if we human animals can follow their lead.
i didn't yawn for a change:)
ReplyDeletebut instead of sympathy why cast dirty looks on yawners:)not fair.

its horrible when yawning spreads in meeting room... no matter how much you try... the opening and closing of mouth is almost automatic :P
I don't know if manners are in the genes but should be learnt at an early age. I love the thought of anyone specialising in the art of yawning.
ReplyDeleteyawning..and the art of hiding yawns...is the real art..
ReplyDeleteYou won't believe it! I yawned while reading this!
ReplyDeleteAha! So the anger is more about the chubby girl giving you a dirty look rather than the yawn in your face
