A confirmed flirt

My friend AKV looked sheepishly around, convinced himself that his wife was not around, and told me in a whispering tone, “My wife knows I am a confirmed flirt.”
Most people are. He was just being honest.
Hey, don’t give me that look. I am innocent. I don't even know the meaning of that word.
According to a study, 35% of people using personal ads for dating are already married!
Has the society changed?
I don’t know. You tell me.
But I can share a joke.
Tommy asked his granddad, “How to patav (attract) that girl?”
“Give her nice gifts. Even a beautiful rose will do,” said the old man trying to please the GenNext.
The boy rushed off cheerfully. The next week, Tommy returned to the old man and said: “Now tell me. How do I get rid of her?”

  1. Lol.. nice story :-)Lol.. nice story :-)

  2. Nice one!! so you say you are not a flirt!! mmm sure?? or should we ask your wife??

  3. Seems one not content with one alone. I think we changed, put fault on society which has everyone of us. Nice post!

  4. hmmm.. society changes.. so do we.. but basic human nature is the same.. we tend to cover or flaunt as demanded by the society at that particular period.
where do you get all these jokes.. so right now you need a dictionary? eh?

  5. Yes Bhai, agree with you, in this age of technology, man is never happy with what he has got, he years for more!!!

Why check only on men? when there are even woman who behave like that!

But there are still good people out there who no matter what will always stick to being faithful, straight forward and honest in their lives.

Men like you are an example to the society - that living a simple, content life is much happier than craving for something more.

    Sai :)

  6. Ha ha .....
    Love your short little stories.

  7. As usual a wonderful piece of writing:) ha ha ha :)

  8. It migt sound silly, but, I think it is the inner self of the husband which is actually wanting to flirt with his own wife by teasing her.

  9. The old man has a lesson or two to learn from his grandson.

  10. That's the way it is these days. No one likes anyone clinging on for too long :).And, you don't even know the meaning of the word. Okay, who will believe that? ;-)

  11. lol :D
i just didn't stopped my laughter wen i read d last was very nic....nic post sir!!!

  12. The society has changed and you've captured it with your usual dose of humor, Ramesh Ji.

  13. 35% of people using personal ads for dating are already married - what a fascinating statistic. We have often thought of joining a dating agency just to see if they find us compatible as suitable partners.

  14. Interesting fact and interesting joke. Thanks for sharing.

  15. That’s a piece taken from the daily life situations :P
