Papa don’t preach

Some people, especially children, have amazing presence of mind.
I was casually chatting with a friend and told him, “I could not sleep whole day yesterday.” His child snapped back, “But you slept whole night?”
My elder daughter was an average student like me at school (But so was Einstein, hehe).
“Why don’t you score more?” I asked her once.
“It’s all in the genes papa,” she replied.
Once a relative arrived with a mischievous child, who pulled down curtains and danced on our bed.
“Keep quiet or I will give you an injection. I am a doctor,” joked my daughter.
“Oh, you are a doctor. I am a policeman. I will beat you with this stick,” the demon chased my daughter.

  3. Hi Ramesh,
Good one! Keeping the child in you kicking? Guess you don't have to teach kids the Power of Now, they are always in the Now. As it is said you got to be a child to enter the kingdom of heaven. Sometimes I do hope someone can turn back the clock. Wishful thinking...

  6. Oh yes kids these days are very smart. My niece was playing with my smart phone. Its a touch phone and was rapidly pressing numbers on the calculator. I told her not to be too fast. She said "I am testing if the calculator knows how to add" :-S

  11. This is nice and Kavita's too!

My niece's daughter was admitted to pre-KG class, last month. The school HM asked her to recite some poems she knew. This girl recited many poems and the HM asked, "how did you learn so many songs?" "God's gift", the child replied!
